Reach stacker sunk during unloading
During the RoRo-unloading of a new reach stacker at a Rotterdam terminal, it ended up in the port and sank to a depth of 12 m. We were appointed by terminal liability insurers to serve their interests, in which we were involved in the investigation into the cause and liability of the terminal as well as the salvage of the reach stacker and determination of the damage amount. Fortunately, the reach stacker driver had jumped out of the cabin just in time.
